Design
Working independently or within a project team of architects, engineers & surveyors we can provide a comprehensive design service for: i) planning applications, ii) building warrant applications, and iii) environmental agency applications. Designs are prepared by a professional consultant to the highest standard using digital AutoCAD software. All drawings & specifications are normally submitted in full colour for ease of reference.
A recent example of our design work is outlined below:
Queensland Holiday Park, South Ayrshire
Following a building warrant application by the project architect we were commissioned to design a new sewage treatment system for the holiday park. The design had to fulfil three objectives: i) the new sewage treatment facilities should cater for the proposed expansion of static mobile homes, ii) septic tanks servicing the existing static mobile homes were to be phased out, and iii) the park must remain fully open at all times.
After a site appraisal it was decided to effectively split the park in half as this would allow the existing static homes to remain in use using the four existing septic tanks. New drainage would also be able to be laid without breaking into existing drainage lines. At the site of the new sewage treatment system both the existing and new drainage lines were to be brought together into one manhole but in separate pipes. This would allow the primary & secondary treatment stages to be split 50:50 to allow the park to remain fully open during the installation works and also stage the expansion process of the park without hampering treatment efficiency.
Primary & secondary treatment would be provided by two proprietary "Titan Biotec P125" package sewage treatment plants. Tertiary treatment would be provided by one bespoke horizontal flow reedbed catering for 100% of the park by combining the outfalls of the two treatment plants. Due to ground levels a proprietary "Titan" package pumping station was designed to discharge the final treated effluent to the river approximately 450m away.
